HEY !! Finaly I�ve decided to write something abouth my self..... I�m an 18 year old Rude Girl from Sweden. I was born in a small town calld Paracin in Yugoslavia. Moast of my rude years have I spent here in Sweden where I study sience.... I love good music, (SKA SKA SKA)like SKA, punk and hard-core..... I love......Al Capone,( and for that mather, everybody else whos name starts with Al.....)I also love everything that has something to do with the word BOSS. My favourit food is pizzaaaaaaaaa.... The Man, the Plaid God, the lead singer of the Mighty Mighty BossTones. This 33 year old Rude-Boy have been skankin with the BossTones for abouth 10 years. He was born in Norwood but have lived moas of his life in Cambrige,MA. He went to Bunker Hill Community College and joind the BossTones when he was 22. He loves Clash, gummy bears, plaid and to drink. He used to drink more then he does now but when he did his favourites were Budweiser, Jameson�s Whiskey and Malboros. The one thing everybody likes to talk abouth is Dickys voice. Even thou it sounds like he swolowd a box of nails his voice sounds very sexy. He sais that his whole family sounds like that, including his mother. He thinks the best bands around today are Stubborn All-Stars, H2O, Bouncing Souls, Bim Skala Bim and Sick Of It All. | THE THREE WAVES OF SKA |
Ska is a dance music that took over Jamaica in the early 1960s. A lot of people describe Ska as "Fast Reggae" well actully Ska happened first, Reggae evolved from Ska so it would be more accurate to say Reggae is "Slow Ska". The first wave of ska includes stars like Desmond Decker, Prince Buster, Skatalites and the Godfather of Ska Laurel Aitken. The second wave or the 2-Tone as it was calld in the late 70s took over UK. English kids where gettin�tired of Punk so they added the Ska beat to it. Second wave was faster and more energetic. Moast popular 2-Tone bands are Bad Manners, Madness, Specials and Selecter. Third wave of Ska describes todays Ska-Scene. It has strecht its roots from Pop-Ska to Ska-Core. USA is the leading country of third wave, but you can find good Ska-Bands all over the world. Bands like Mighty Mighty BossTones, Rancid, Sublime and Goldfinger have been skankin on todays Ska-Scene. | ||||||||||||||||
